Dear Mr. Hinrichsen:
I am answering your letter of September 7 on

behalf of Mr. Schoenberg who has not been too well
recently.
Mr. Schoenberg received your check of $ 80 with thanks.
Mr. Schoenberg agrees that you will send a check of
10 % on the remaining 600 copies as soon as the printer
delivers these copies. However, Mr. Schoenberg wants
to point out that most contracts offer a higher per-
centage after 5,000 and after 10,000 copies have been
printed.

You mention that you will send a contract for both
the Fantasy and the Five Orchestra Pieces. Mr Schoen-
berg prefers a seperate contract for each work.

Concerning the Psalm 130, Op. 50B, – it will be neces-

in a Jewish Anthology.

Re the publication of Mr. Schoenberg's textbooks: there
is no great hurry as Philosphical Library considers pub-
lishing them. He would of course prefer you as pub-
lisher, but perhaps you can make a common publication
of the books with Philosophical Library, 15 East 40th
Street, N.Y. In any case Mr. Schoenberg reserves the
rights for a German publication for you.
